Mr. Peter Patsa

Dramatic Need was deeply saddened to hear of the sudden death of Mr. Peter Patsa, principal of Waaisand Primary on Sunday, March 22nd 2009. He was 51 years old. Mr. Patsa was one of the most dedicated, passionate and compassionate teachers Dramatic Need has ever had the pleasure to work with. His commitment to his pupils was extraordinary. He was an avid supporter of the Dramatic Need programme from the beginning and gained the respect and admiration of all Dramatic Need volunteers for the tireless effort he put in to ensure it was a success.

A pillar of his community, an exceptional teacher and most of all, a man with a huge heart, Mr. Patsa will be mourned in the UK, Ireland, the United States and New Zealand by the volunteers who were lucky enough to work with him. Our heart goes out to his family, his community and his students at Waaisand whose lives will be so much the poorer without his guidance, spirit and wonderful laugh.
